Welcome to year 7 of our MathRocks! contest series!
This is a single registration for our monthly Saturday MathRocks! contests.
It includes:
6 monthly, regular season contests: Oct 16, Nov 13, Jan 8, Feb 5, Mar 5, & Apr 2
Season t-shirt
WHO: All students in grades 1-12
WHEN: Monthly contest start at 10 AM for all in-person and online participants
WHERE: For students in the Reno/Sparks area, contests are in person at UNR (each level will be assigned to an engineering and that will be their building for the year.
For students OUTSIDE the Reno/Sparks area, contests are online. The window for taking rounds will start at 10am and students will have approximately 3 hours to complete their rounds (similar to those who are participating in-person)
ROUNDS: Number Sense - 80 questions, 10 minutes
Sprint - 20 questions, 30 minutes
Focus - 4-5 problems, 10 minutes
Explain - 1 problem, 5 minutes (this is an experimental round and may change or be removed)
Team - 10 questions, 20 minutes (teams are composed of 3 to 4 students)
High school also has Estimation (15 problems, 10 minutes)

Single event registration is $20 with a $5 discount when registered more than 7 days in advance. Series registration is highly recommended. Not only does it save you money but it guarantees your student is expected when they arrive.
